IC Title Match, McIntyre Vs. Zayn Announced For 4/15 WWE SmackDown

Two matches lined up for next week

The WWE Intercontinental title will be on the line on next week's SmackDown, and there will also be a rematch from Friday night's broadcast, due to an inconclusive finish.

On the show, Ricochet will defend his Intercontinental championship against Jinder Mahal. Mahal lobbied to Adam Pearce for the match, after complaining that he hadn't been getting any opportunities.

Ricochet won the Intercontinental title on March 4, defeating Sami Zayn.

Speaking of Zayn, he will be in action on next week's SmackDown, in a rematch with the man he lost to via count out on Friday, Drew McIntyre.

The match was originally made when an irate Zayn complained loudly about his WrestleMania loss to Johnny Knoxville, and vowed to fight the next person that emerged from the locker room (which happened to be McIntyre).

Zayn ended up walking out on the match just as McIntyre was setting up for his Claymore kick. As a result of taking the intentional loss, Zayn will have to step back into the ring with McIntyre on next week's show.

The card for Friday's WWE SmackDown, taping place at the DCU Center in Worcester, MA, is as follows:

* WWE Intercontinental: Ricochet (c) vs. Jinder Mahal

* Drew McIntyre vs. Sami Zayn
