'The Joker' takes on Britt Baker in the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament quarterfinals
Dr Britt Baker will be going up against a mystery opponent in the quarterfinals of the AEW Owen Hart Foundation tournament this Wednesday on Dynamite.
It looks like the identity of the joker in the women's tournament may have been revealed - and it's a familiar face to all those who watch AEW.
Maki Itoh has ramped up speculation that she is the joker by tweeting that she is returning to the United States 'next'.
"It was a Ryogoku tournament. I ate a bird. Thank you. The next game is America," Itoh tweeted [Twitter's in house translator tool with the translation there]
Itoh wrestled five matches for All Elite Wrestling across February and March of last year.
After losing in the first round of the Women's World Championship Eliminator Tournament to Ryo Mizunami, Maki was then a shock participant on the Revolution Buy In as she teamed with Baker to defeat the team of Riho and Thunder Rosa.
Whoever comes out on top between the joker and Baker will go on to face Toni Storm in the semifinals. Storm toppled Jamie Hayter this past week.
