Ilja Dragunov To Face Cara Noir At PROGRESS Wrestling 10th Anniversary

Dragunov vs. Noir IV

Ilja Dragunov is set to compete in a PROGRESS Wrestling ring for the first time in two years next month.

The indy promotion announced on Monday that Dragunov will go one-on-one with PROGRESS World Champion Cara Noir at the company's 10th Anniversary show from The Garage on Friday, March 25. The match hasn't been announced as being for the gold.

Noir will seemingly be in action twice on March 25 as PROGRESS also announced Warren Banks will challenge for the PROGRESS World Title on the show. The Black Swan will have to overcome Shane "Swerve" Strickland at Chapter 129 on Sunday, February 20 first, though.

Noir and Dragunov previously feuded in PROGRESS for several months in 2019, with Noir winning the rivalry following a Two-Out-Of-Three Falls win in December. Dragunov rekindled the feud at Chapter 128 when he confronted Noir following The Black Swan's win over Dean Allmark.

Noir then captured the PROGRESS World Title in January 2020 and he has been champion ever since.

Beyond his PROGRESS match, Dragunov is the reigning NXT UK Champion, having defeated WALTER for the gold back in August of 2021.
