IMPACT Wrestling returned to pay-per-view on Saturday, October 21 for their biggest pay-per-view of the year, Bound For Glory, which emanated from Cicero Stadium in Chicago, Illinois.

The biggest event at Bound For Glory happened outside of the squared circle as IMPACT announced they will officially rebrand as TNA Wrestling from Hard To Kill on January 13, 2024, returning to the name of the promotion that was used from 2002 until March 2017. Further details about the rebrand will be revealed on Tuesday, October 24 in an interview with Scott D'Amore on IMPACT's Facebook page.

In the main event of Bound For Glory, Alex Shelley defeated Josh Alexander to retain the IMPACT World Championship. Two of IMPACT's top stars fought back and forth throughout the contest and the closing stretch saw Alexander look to apply the Ankle Lock. Shelley managed to escape, though, as he first hit The Walking Weapon so hard his headgear fell off before he followed up with a Shellshock and connected with a Superkick that sent the challenger's mouthpiece soaring into the air. One more Shellshock later and it was Alex Shelley who ended Bound For Glory still IMPACT World Champion. The two men shook hands after the match before Alexander placed the title belt around Shelley's waist.

Shelley looks set to next defend the IMPACT World Championship against Moose at Hard To Kill as the former champion cashed in his Feast or Fired briefcase prior to the main event of Bound For Glory.

Shelley's win ended a night that was fruitful for current champions, with only one title change at the pay-per-view that saw The Rascalz of Trey Miguel and Zachary Wentz drop the IMPACT World Tag Team Championships to Chris Bey and Ace Austin of ABC. The two teams have been feuding since July's Slammiversary pay-per-view and they put on a competitive showing at Bound For Glory, with the match coming to an end after Wentz accidentally sprayed Miguel with spray paint. This led to the Art of Finesse/Fold combo as ABC captured the titles.

Bound For Glory also featured the debut of former AEW talent Sonny Kiss in the Call Your Shot Gauntlet, while Juventud Guerrera and Matt Cardona made their returns to the promotion in the same match. The match was eventually won by Jordynne Grace, who pinned Bully Ray, and she called her shot to challenge for the Knockouts World Title at Hard To Kill 2024.

Elsewhere at Bound For Glory, Chris Sabin defeated KENTA to retain the X-Division Title, Will Ospreay picked up the win over "Speedball" Mike Bailey in another excellent match between two of the best wrestlers in the world, Trinity remained Knockouts World Champion with a win over Mickie James, and PCO won the Monster's Ball Match in what looks to be his final outing in IMPACT.
