After a strong No Surrender pay-per-view on February 13, IMPACT Wrestling returned to mop up all the fallout from the PPV.
Not one to rest on their laurels, IMPACT announced that X-Division Champion TJP would put the title on the line against Josh Alexander, and New Japan Pro Wrestling’s FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) would make their IMPACT debuts this week.
IMPACT kicked off with the afore-mentioned X-Division Title match, with TJP retaining with the Mamba Splash in a hell of an opener. TJP later sat down with Scott D’Amore, only to be interrupted by Ace Austin. D’Amore announced next week’s IMPACT will see a six man tag match, the winners of which will face off in a triple threat a week later to determine the new X-Division Championship number one contender.
More X-Division action as Trey Miguel defeated Suicide, Daivari and Willie Mack, while afterwards Matt Cardona defeated Hernandez. Post-match Cardona and Brian Myers had words in ring before Cardona was jumped by Hernandez. Eddie Edwards evened the score, and the issues between these four men are far from over.
FinJuice exploded onto IMPACT with an impressive victory over Reno Scum, before catching the attention of The Good Brothers. Tenille Dashwood defeated Nevaeh, and Deaner vs Jake Something in a Tables Match was announced for next week.
Our main event saw Moose and Tommy Dreamer beat seven shades out of each other in an Old School Rules Match, with the ‘future IMPACT World Champion’ getting the win over the ECW legend with a huge Lights Out Spear.
Of course we heard from AEW’s Tony Schiavone and Tony Khan, and James Storm, Chris Sabin, and Rohit Raju got into a bar fight before heading to Johnny Swinger’s ‘Palace’.
