IMPACT kicked off with Josh Alexander officially relinquishing his X Division Championship and exercising Option C, with Walking Weapon set to take on IMPACT World Champion Christian Cage at Bound for Glory.  Cage and Alexander exchanged words, before Ace Austin and Madman Fulton ruined things, with Austin jabbing Cage in the eyes with his cane as all four men brawled.

In IMPACT’s main event, Alexander and Austin clashed in singles action. Fulton was a constant thorn in Alexander’s side throughout the bout, but ate a huge penalty kick to the face from Alexander, before Austin smashed Alexander off of the apron. Alexander recovered, and got the win with a big C4 Spike. Post-match Austin and Fulton beat down Alexander until Christian made the save. However, the alliance between Alexander and Cage was fragile, allowing Austin and Fulton to resume their attack. Out of nowhere The Fallen Angel Christopher Daniels ran out to make the save! Daniels is back in an IMPACT ring for the first time since 2014, but what are his intentions?

Now that IMPACT has no reigning X Division Champion, Scott D’Amore announced that a tournament to crown a new champ will start next week on IMPACT. So far Willie Mack has declared his intentions, whilst Laredo Kid, Trey Miguel and Alex Zayne will battle with the winner advancing.

Mickie James returned to the IMPACT Zone, looking for a shot at Deonna Purrazzo’s Knockouts Title at Bound for Glory. The Virtuosa rebuffed James, as the two started brawling. However, IMPACT EVP Scott D’Amore overruled Purrazzo, and said James gets a title shot at Bound for Glory.

Despite tasting defeat at the hands of David Finlay, Hikuleo got the last laugh as El Phantasmo returned to IMPACT, and the Bullet Club trio of Hikuleo, El P and Chris Bey beat down FinJuice. 4-4-4 Life.

Chelsea Green was in the mood for revenge after eating a Tiger Knee from Rohit Raju recently, but despite dominating Rohit in their inter-gender clash, a returning Raj Singh threw Matt Cardona into the ringpost, allowing Rohit to get the roll-up win in the confusion.

Elsewhere: The Influence will take on Grace & Ellering next week for a shot at Knockouts Tag Titles at Knockouts Knockdown. Eddie Edwards and W. Morrissey will settle their differences in a Street Fight next week, after Eddie and Sami Callihan beat Moose up backstage. Rich Swann & Willie Mack defeated Brian Myers and his latest recruit VSK after unhelpful interference from Sam Beale. And Eric Young stated that VBD’s beatdown of Rhino last week was a ‘learning opportunity’.
