All the action from the IMPACT Zone

IMPACT Wrestling were once again in Nashville’s IMPACT Zone, as the X-Division tournament got under way after Josh Alexander officially relinquished the title and enacted Option C.

The first person emerging from the first round and to Bound for Glory is Trey Miguel, who defeated Laredo Kid and Alex Zayne in IMPACT’s opener. This was a fast paced opener - everything you’d expect from an X Division triple threat. With Matthew Rehwoldt watching on from the back, Trey sank Laredo Kid with the flying double knees for the win.

Eddie Edwards had revenge on his mind as he took on W. Morrissey in a Street Fight, with Edwards declaring that Moose is next when he’s finished with Morrissey. Moose was banned from ringside for this bout, as Edwards and Morrissey beat the stuffing out of each other. When Morrissey went for a suplex onto multiple chairs, Alisha Edwards came out for some revenge of her own, assaulting Morrissey with a kendo stick, and later holding a barbed wire chair in place as Eddie hit the Boston Knee Party into it for the win.

Post-match, Moose viciously assaulted Eddie, bludgeoning him with chairs, as Morrissey made Alisha watch on.

We had the long awaited in-ring return of Christopher Daniels, following his dramatic save of Josh Alexander and Christian Cage last week. The Fallen Angle was in action against Madman Fulton, and it was vintage Daniels, hitting the STO, and later The Angel’s Wings and the Best Moonsault Ever for the win. Daniels said he has his own agenda that will soon be revealed.

The Good Brothers proposed a number one contender’s match between FinJuice and Bullet Club, with the winners taking on The GBs at Bound For Glory. Talking of FinJuice, the duo said before their number one contender’s clash that they will team with Chris Sabin to take on BC’s Hikuleo, Chris Bey, and El P next week.

Deonna Purrazzo went all ‘hardcore country’ as she assaulted Mickie James in a barn on James’ property. The two went back and forth on the estate, with The Virtuosa leaving with her head held high ahead of their clash at Bound For Glory.

Violent By Design talked their beat down of Rhino last week, saying the sickness had permeated throughout VBD through Rhino. Eric Young told the Man Beast he’s either with VBD or against them, as Heath made his return to the IMPACT Zone. Heath sent VBD on their way, but Rhino was conflicted about embracing his former tag partner, and sheepishly walked off on his own.

Elsewhere: Brian Myers played favourites with his students. The Influence def. Grace and Ellering. Ace Austin and Madman Fulton will face Josh Alexander and Christian Cage next week. IM{ACT announced the ‘Digital Media Championship’. And Johnny Swinger shut down Swinger’s Palace for good. Goodnight sweet Prince.
