IMPACT Wrestling Teases Arrival Of Numerous Released WWE Superstars

Multiple Superstars could be landing in the IMPACT Zone...

Back on April 15, WWE released 37 Superstars including Deonna Purrazzo, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, EC3, Matt Cardona, and Curt Hawkins. The releases came after the company announced they would be making cutbacks because of the coronavirus pandemic, despite estimates showing the company is still on course to make record profits in 2020.

Deonna Purrazzo has already found a new home in IMPACT Wrestling, but she might not be the only former WWE Superstar to land in the IMPACT Zone as numerous released wrestlers featured in a promo for Slammiversary 2020.

The promo opened with a hooded figure watching a news report about the WWE releases, only for the broadcast to cut to footage of Drake Maverick, Eric Young, Doc Gallows, Karl Anderson, EC3, Brian Myers, and Mike and Maria Kanellis in their IMPACT days. A Bulgarian flag was also broadcast, hinting at the arrival of Rusev. The video then ended by announcing Slammiversary will air on pay-per-view on July 18.
