Imperium's Ludwig Kaiser has addressed a rumour that GUNTHER was set to be buried in WWE following an appearance on the July 4 edition of Monday Night Raw.

The report from WrestleVotes suggested that WWE management had soured on Gunther following his segment on the show to the point that he was going to be buried. The burial on TV ultimately never came, though, as Vince McMahon departed WWE, with Triple H replacing him as the head of creative.

Speaking about the rumour with WAZ, Ludwig Kaiser admitted he didn't know anything about the report but he and Gunther had been "totally satisfied" since they debuted on the main roster after WrestleMania 38.

"I don't know anything about the rumours. It's also usually the case that we don't let it get to us like that. From our side, we have been totally satisfied since we started on Smackdown. We've had a great reception there, the feedback has been positive right from the start. We can't complain about our TV time either. When you look at what we've done in a few months, even with Gunther's Intercontinental Championship title, it speaks for itself. Of course, there are always rumours here and there, but a lot of it is just not true," Kaiser said.

Gunther has continued to establish himself as a top star in WWE since the July 4 appearance and he is the current Intercontinental Champion. Der Ring General will next defend the gold on the October 7 edition of SmackDown against Sheamus.
