Ric Flair would have loved to have managed Andrade in AEW

Ric Flair has claimed he wanted to act as Andrade El Idolo's manager in AEW, but that Tony Khan didn't want him for the spot.
Discussing his son-in-law on the latest edition of his To Be The Man podcast, the Nature Boy said:
"I haven't spoken with him, I knew he had a big match...I don't really know what - really haven't kept track of what he's doing there. I had hoped, as I told you before, I wish Tony would have let me manage him. He is an absolutely phenomenal worker and tough kid. I wish I could have managed him, but I guess Tony elected not to go with me for whatever reason".
Flair has managed Andrade elsewhere, such as in Puerto Rico and for Mexico's AAA promotion. Andrade tagged with Flair in the two-time WWE Hall of Famer's purported 'Last Match' in July.
Andrade's future with AEW is currently in doubt, following reports that he feels stagnant and is creatively dissatisfied. This week has also seen him trade shots with Sammy Guevara over social media.
Andrade is booked in a Mask vs. AEW Career Match with Dark Order's 10 for this upcoming Friday's episode of Rampage. Tony Khan recently claimed that 'a lot of people' might not mind if he left the promotion.
