Tony Khan: A Lot Of People Might Not Mind If Andrade El Idolo Leaves AEW

Tony Khan comments on a potential AEW exit for Andrade El Idolo

Andrade El Idolo's future in All Elite Wrestling is currently uncertain as the former NXT Champion will put his AEW career on the line on Rampage when he faces Dark Order's 10 in a Mask vs. Career Match.

Speaking about the bout on My Mom's Basement, AEW President Tony Khan admitted that a lot of people might not mind if Andrade leaves the promotion.

"Andrade is a terrible guy. If Andrade loses this match, he would leave AEW forever. And frankly, you know, the way things have gone with Andrade and the way things have carried on, I think a lot of people might not mind that. But it'll be an interesting situation to follow," Khan said.

Should Andrade depart, this would leave his La Faccion Ingobernable stable without a figurehead. Tony Khan believes Rush could be a great leader for the group, though.

El Idolo is currently at the centre of the latest drama within All Elite Wrestling. Andrade brought up an issue he had with Sammy Guevara during a recent interview, revealing that Guevara complained he hit him too hard during a match. This prompted a Twitter exchange between both talents, during which Sammy told Andrade to go back to WWE.
