Indi Hartwell Relinquishes The WWE NXT Women's Title

Indi Hartwell is no longer NXT Women's Champion

A new WWE NXT Women's Champion will need to be crowned.

Indi Hartwell headed to the ring during the final segment of NXT and announced that she would be relinquishing the NXT Women's Title. A tournament will begin next week to crown a new champion and it will come to an end at Battleground on Sunday, May 28.

After Hartwell left the NXT Women's Title in the middle of the ring, she asked if there was anyone who could help her out of the squared circle, since she suffered an ankle sprain on last week's NXT. This prompted an appearance from Dexter Lumis, who crawled out from underneath the ring and proceeded to carry his wife to the back and out of NXT. Hartwell was drafted to Monday Night Raw during the latest WWE Draft.

After Hartwell had disappeared, Tiffany Stratton and Cora Jade grabbed the NXT Women's Title and NXT went off the air as the entire women's roster brawled over the belt.

Hartwell had only been NXT Women's Champion for 31 days, having won the title in a Ladder Match at Stand & Deliver on April 1.
