Injured Star Returns After WWE SmackDown

Kevin Owens is back after his injury

After it was revealed that the injured Kevin Owens was internally listed for a dark match or segment by Fightful Select, he did in fact make his comeback after Friday Night SmackDown went off the air.

Owens has been side-lined with an injury for a month or so now, not competing on WWE programming since the July 17th episode of Monday Night Raw when he and Sami Zayn successfully defended the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championships against The Judgment Day’s Damian Priest and Dominik Mysterio.

Following Edge’s goodbye speech to the crowd last night after his match with Sheamus, Imperium came to the ring to try and make a statement. This led to an all-star trio of babyfaces in Drew McIntyre, Sami Zayn, and the returning Kevin Owens coming out to the ring to fend off the heel stable, standing tall alongside Edge to close out the night. Owens had suffered from a rib fracture, but looks ready to return to the ring following last night’s appearance, getting physical.
