Will Ospreay Vs. Yota Tsuji & More Set For NJPW Destruction In Kobe

Several matches have been set for NJPW Destruction in Kobe

The card for NJPW’s Destruction in Kobe event is stacking up, as several matches have been announced on NJPW’s website for the show, which takes place in Kobe’s World Hall in September as part of the Destruction series.

A major title match has been announced, as Will Ospreay will defend his newly redesigned and rechristened IWGP United Kingdom Championship (formerly the IWGP United States Championship) against Yota Tsuji. Tsuji has made Ospreay his target recently, stating in an interview that what he wants most is Ospreay’s head, with the title just being an extra prize.

The winner of the G1 Climax Tetsuya Naito will look to build momentum to the Tokyo Dome main event next year as he takes on Jeff Cobb in a singles match, though Naito noted that the match needed some stakes, so it remains to be seen if any are added.

Elsewhere, Shingo Takagi will take on Great-O-Khan, Bishamon will defend the IWGP Tag Team Titles against Shane Haste & Mikey Nicholls, and the KOPW 2023 Title will be on the line between Taichi and SHO.
