Injury Update On Alexa Bliss

Former WWE Raw Women's Champion suffered multiple concussions in a short period of time...

It's been a pretty torrid time for former WWE Raw Women's Champion Alexa Bliss recently. After being ruled out of the Mixed Match Challenge and Evolution she was also ruled out of this Sunday's Survivor Series pay-per-view last week, being named the captain and selector of the Raw women's team instead.

Over the weekend, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter spoke about Bliss' current injury status, noting that she is being treated with caution by WWE's medical teams due to multiple concussions suffered over a short period of time.

Alexa hasn't competed inside a WWE ring since a 19 October live event where she teamed with Mickie James in a losing effort to Nia Jax and Ronda Rousey. This is the show that saw the reports of Bliss suffering either a concussion or broken nose start circulating online.

It's clear that Meltzer's words and the reports online have some substance to them, as yesterday Bliss took to Twitter to simply say "I'm not going anywhere," accompanied with a GIF of Arnold Schwarzenegger saying 'I'll be back.'

Last week on Raw, Acting General Manager Baron Corbin revealed that Alexa would be the captain of the Raw women's Survivor Series team. Little Miss Bliss didn't name any of her team members, so there's no doubt we'll know who's on the team by the end of tonight's episode.

SmackDown Live General Manager Paige named her Survivor Series team, which consists of  Carmella, Naomi, Sonya Deville, Asuka and Charlotte Flair. However, Flair didn't turn up to last week's show, so her status for the match is slightly up in the air.
