Interesting Note On AEW/ROH Signing MxM Collection

History for MxM Collection signing with AEW

An interesting note on All Elite Wrestling signing MxM Collection has emerged, with it being noted that AEW CEO Tony Khan and Mason Madden have known each other for over 10 years.

Khan and Madden first met back in 2012 when Khan was scouting him at the University of North Carolina ahead of the 2012 NFL draft. Khan is deeply involved with the Jacksonville Jaguars, owned by his father Shahid Khan.

Madden was ultimately drafted by the Houston Texans in the 2023 NFL draft but he was cut by the Texans in 2014 after never playing a game for them due to a knee injury. Madden signed a two-year deal with the Jacksonville Jaguars in February 2015 but he was released by the team in August, before the 2015 NFL season got underway. Madden then spent two days with the New England Patriots in October 2015 before he was waived.

Madden then moved to pro wrestling and he and Mansoor signed with All Elite Wrestling/Ring of Honor in July. MxM Collection made their debuts at ROH Death Before Dishonor and they have since had two matches in AEW, losing to FTR but defeating Private Party.

Tony Khan noted Mason Madden made history as the first person he has worked with as an American football player and a wrestler in AEW.
