The collaboration between WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling continued over the weekend as TNA held their latest IMPACT tapings in Tampa, Florida on Friday, August 2 and Saturday, August 3.

The crossover continued at the second night of tapings as Jonathan Gresham went one-on-one with Charle Dempsey of No Quarter Catch Crew. Dempsey ended up losing to the former ROH World Champion and the two talents came to blows, PWInsider noted, with Dempsey said to be angry about his defeat.

Charlie Dempsey has been one of the beneficiaries of WWE being open to working with more promotions. He has wrestled on two of Josh Barnett's Bloodsport shows, while Dempsey also challenged for the Triple Crown Title in All Japan Pro-Wrestling in early 2024 and he began making appearances in TNA with No Quarter Catch Crew in June. This led to a match at TNA Slammiversary where NQCC lost to The Rascalz of Wes Lee, Trey Miguel, and Zachary Wentz.

A number of WWE NXT wrestlers had already appeared at the TNA IMPACT tapings on Friday night, including Dante Chen, Wolfgang, and Riley Osborne.

WWE NXT and TNA Wrestling have been working together on a full-time basis since May. The two companies have already agreed to an 'unprecedented' deal with Joe Hendry that will see the former TNA Digital Media Champion train at the WWE Performance Center.
