There have been a number of changes to WrestleMania 42 promotional materials in recent months, which is causing frustration within WWE.
WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select has reported that graphic shifts for the promotion of WrestleMania 42 has resulted in annoyance within the relevant department in WWE. The company originally planned to promote WrestleMania 42 with a "high end, classy vibe", which was evident in the early WrestleMania teasers, but the direction has changed a number of times since then to the point the current theme for WrestleMania 42 has a post-apocalyptic western vibe. It was noted the promotional direction for the event has never been clear and the reason for all of the graphic changes is due to requests from those in charge.

Earlier this year, there was panic within the same departments as they were facing deadlines in preparing promotional materials for WrestleMania.
The pre-WrestleMania 42 period has been somewhat turbulent within WWE, with there having already been a number of changes to planned matches for the show due to lower-than-expected ticket sales. WWE have since settled on the major matches for the Showcase of the Immortals, which include CM Punk vs. Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship, Cody Rhodes vs. Randy Orton for the Undisputed WWE Title, Stephanie Vaquer vs. Liv Morgan for the Women's World Title, and Jade Cargill vs. Rhea Ripley for the WWE Women's Championship.
