Internal WWE Reaction To Raw Possibly Moving From Monday Nights

Monday Night Raw could soon be a thing of the past

A key aspect of WWE programming could be set to change in 2024 when the United States media rights to Monday Night Raw expire in October of next year.

According to reports, Raw will be leaving USA Network along with NXT, with Disney and Amazon believed to be interested in securing the rights to the two shows. It was also noted in Sports Business Journal, though, that there is potential for Raw to move from Monday nights as part of any new media rights deal. TKO Group CEO Ari Emanuel has since hinted Raw could be on the move from Mondays while speaking to Bloomberg

This would be a drastic change to WWE TV, with Raw having aired on a Monday since the show debuted back in January 1993. The decision also may not be a popular one with WWE employees, with WrestleVotes reporting there are "tons of people" behind the scenes who want the status quo to remain in place.

"Regarding the rumors of RAW moving nights, Endeavor is definitely open to it, which they have stated. I can say from a backstage (off camera) standpoint, there are tons of people who want RAW to continue on Mondays as is. Time will tell," WrestleVotes tweeted.

While Raw looks set to leave USA, SmackDown will be returning to the network in October 2024 in a deal worth $1.4 billion over five years.
