Io Shirai Vs. Raquel Gonzalez To Main-Event WWE NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver Night One

The two-night NXT event now has three Championship matches confirmed

WWE have confirmed that NXT Women's Champion Io Shirai will put her title on the line against Raquel Gonzalez in the main event of night one of NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver.

Having confronted Gonzalez backstage at NXT a couple of weeks ago, Shirai pushed a contract into her opponent's hands this past week on the black-and-gold brand, and now the match has been made official for Stand & Deliver.

The two will clash over the NXT Women's Championship on Wednesday 7 April in the final match of TakeOver: Stand & Deliver, night one.

Shirai has seen off the likes of Dakota Kai, Toni Storm, Candice LeRae and Tegan Nox since winning the Title in a triple-threat match against Charlotte Flair and Rhea Ripley last year, but Gonzalez has enjoyed a tremendous 12 months since bursting onto the NXT scene.

The Women's Championship match is the third title contest confirmed for NXT TakeOver: Stand & Deliver. Finn Balor will defend the NXT Championship against Karrion Kross while WWE also confirmed on 205 Live this week that Santos Escobar and Jordan Devlin will meet in a Cruiserweight Championship Unification Match.
