'Iron Claw' Secures SAG-AFTRA Waiver Ahead Of December Release

Iron Claw movie still set for December release after SAG-AFTRA waiver

‘Iron Claw’, the upcoming biopic on the legendary Von Erich family, is still set for a December 2023 release, despite the ongoing Hollywood writer’s strike.

The film is set for a cinematic release on December 22, and production company A24 have agreed a waiver with SAG-AFTRA to allow cast and crew to promote the movie, with the writer’s strike showing little signs of slowing down. The waiver will also allow the cast to do promotional work ahead of awards season in early 2024, according to an article in Deadline.

Iron Claw stars Zack Efron, ‘The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White, and ‘Mindhunter’s Holt McCallany as members of the infamous Von Erich family, with Efron, White, and McCallany portraying Kevin, Kerry, and Fritz Von Erich, respectively.

Pro wrestlers MJF, Chavo Guerrero, and Ryan Nemeth are also set to feature in the film, with the plot of the film set to revolve around Kevin Von Erich and his legacy in the ring, as his brothers all died in tragic circumstances all around him.
