Von Erich drama The Iron Claw gets a release date
The story of the Von Erich family is one of the most notorious and heartbreaking in wrestling history, a story of success and triumph that was overly overshadowed by immense tragedy.
A movie centred around Fritz Von Erich’s storied family has been in the works for some time. Produced by acclaimed independent production company A24, ‘The Iron Claw’ will see an unrecognisable Zac Efron portray Kevin Von Erich, with The Bear’s Jeremy Allen White portraying former NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Kerry Von Erich.
Directed by ‘Martha Marcy May Marlene’ director Sean Durkin, ‘The Iron Claw’ is set to release to cinemas on December 22, and anyone who knows of the Von Erichs will know that this will definitely not be a cheery Christmas affair like Elf.
The film is also set to star Lily James, whilst MJF will make his cinematic debut as Lance Von Erich, with Chavo Guerrero Jr., and AEW’s Ryan Nemeth in supporting roles as The Sheik and Gino Hernandez respectively.
