New Japan Pro-Wrestling will need to crown some new champions in the near future.

Appearing at the Resurgence pay-per-view on Sunday, May 21 in Long Beach, California, Kyle Fletcher announced that his Aussie Open tag team partner Mark Davis had sustained an injury that was "pretty big" and they would be vacating the IWGP Tag Team Titles and NJPW STRONG Tag Team Championships.

Aussie Open were scheduled to defend the IWGP Tag Team Titles at Dominion on June 4 in a Three-Way. That match has been switched to a straight tag team match of Bishamon (Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI) vs. House of Torture (EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi) for the tag belts.

There is no word on when new NJPW STRONG Tag Team Champions will be crowned.

Aussie Open had been IWGP Tag Team Champions since they defeated Bishamon at Sakura Genesis on April 8. They won the NJPW STRONG Tag Team Titles one week later in a Three-Way against the Motor City Machine Guns and the team of Kazuchika Okada & Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Davis has not wrestled since Wrestling Dontaku on May 3. Kyle Fletcher has wrestled in singles matches since then and he is set to challenge Orange Cassidy for the AEW International Championship on the May 24 edition of Dynamite.
