While Jay White said on last week's episode of AEW Dynamite that he would not be giving an IWGP World Heavyweight Title shot to Hangman Page or Adam Cole at Forbidden Door, an AEW press release has revealed Switchblade will be defending the gold against an opponent that is to be determined.

Speculation has suggested White will put the title on the line in a Three-Way against Page and Cole. The Bullet Club leader has only been IWGP World Heavyweight Champion for a couple of weeks, having defeated Kazuchika Okada for the belt at New Japan Pro-Wrestling's Dominion show on June 12.

Beyond an IWGP World Heavyweight Title match, several other championships will be on the line at Forbidden Door on June 26. Check out the Forbidden Door card below:

  • Jon Moxley vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi - Interim AEW World Championship
  • Jay White (c) vs. TBD - IWGP World Heavyweight Championship
  • Thunder Rosa (c) vs. Toni Storm - AEW Women's World Championship
  • FTR (c) vs. Jeff Cobb & Great-O-Khan (c) vs. Roppongi Vice - Winner Takes All Match for the ROH World Tag Team Championships and IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships
  • Will Ospreay (c) vs. Orange Cassidy - IWGP United States Heavyweight Championship
  • PAC vs. Miro vs. Tomohiro Ishii vs. Winner of Malakai Black & Penta Oscuro on Dynamite - AEW All-Atlantic Championship
  • Minoru Suzuki, Chris Jericho, & Sammy Guevara vs. Eddie Kingston, Wheeler Yuta, & Shota Umino
