Jacob Fatu At Centre Of Controversy After No-Showing Wrestling Shows

Jacob Fatu ghosting pro wrestling promotions

Major League Wrestling star Jacob Fatu found himself on local news in Wisconsin this week after no-showing a professional wrestling show designed as a fundraiser for the non-profit organisation, Jake's Network of Hope.

NBC 26 reported that Fatu was booked for Wisconsin's Frontline Pro Wrestling to work the show and Fatu took advances for the booking. Jake's Network of Hope noted that Fatu reached out to them and said there was a family emergency. After giving him the benefit of the doubt, Fatu then said he wouldn't be coming to the show and he has since ghosted the non-profit and the person who booked him.

The show in question took place back on April 29 and featured the likes of Billy Gunn, Tatanka, and Vampiro. The funds from the event were to be used to "help supply diapers, period products, and adult care essentials for FREE to those in our community who need them the most."

The nonprofit has asked Fatu to reimburse the cost of booking him of $2633. That number includes $1030 as an advance, $548 on hotel accommodation, $657 on his original flight and a further $348 on his rescheduled flight, and $50 spent on 8x10s.

Indiana's Pro Wrestling King have also publicly stated they have been ghosted by Fatu recently after he took advances and no-showed, and the MLW star has not responded to overtures to return the money.

PWInsider noted it is not unusual for Fatu to drop communications for a period of time but he has been active on social media while refusing to respond to the promotions.

Son of The Tonga Kid, Jacob Fatu is a part of the Anoa'i family and he is the cousin of Roman Reigns and The Usos.
