WWE star Jacob Fatu strikes a scary pose during a non-televised live event

WWE is approaching the Clash In Italy 2026 PLE this Sunday, with the headline match set to be the World Heavyweight Championship Tribal Combat match between Roman Reigns and Jacob Fatu. However, there is some doubt heading into this event and whether this rematch from Backlash will even take place.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider first noted that Jacob Fatu was seen limping following his Street Fight match against Solo Sikoa as part of WWE’s European Summer Tour at an event in Liverpool. It was later revealed in an update by PWInsider that Fatu was in fact confirmed to be legitimately hurt on the back of this match with Sikoa, and were asking around to see whether this would have any impact on the Clash In Italy 2026 main event.

Another update has now emerged from PWInsider, revealing that those in WWE are now worried that Fatu will not be cleared in time for the Clash In Italy show, with the company reportedly “mulling over alternative plans” for Roman Reigns and the World Heavyweight Title in case Fatu needs to be replaced on the card.
