It may not be long until we see a surprising return to WWE, as talk has drummed up in recent weeks of a potential Enzo Amore comeback. This comes on the back of Amore being seen at the WWE Performance Center amidst reported talks of a return. These reports were soon followed up with the belief that WWE wants to reunite Enzo Amore and Big Cass, and with word that Amore was not taking his usual independent bookings.
In the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer has revealed that WWE’s plans for a returning Enzo Amore will see him return to NXT rather than appearing on Monday Night RAW or Friday Night SmackDown, and that there are no current plans or real talk of a reunion run with Big Cass considering that the now “Big Bill” is a member of the AEW roster.
It is noted that Amore is expected in NXT “soon”, though nothing specific was revealed in this report. Amore was fired from WWE back in early 2018 following the emergence of sexual assault allegations, being stripped of the Cruiserweight Title in the process. Later that year, Amore would appear in the crowd at Survivor Series, standing on his seat in view of the hardcam. Last year, it was noted that AEW has rejected the chance to sign Amore.
