Leon Slater is one of the hottest prospects in the professional wrestling world today, as the former TNA X-Division Champion has already turned a lot of heads despite still being just 21 years of age. In recent weeks, Slater came close to breaking the record of being the longest reigning X-Division Champion in history, only for TNA to dethrone him just one day before this historic feat. However, this may have been a decision made due to the fact that Slater will be out of the door in the near future.

Back in 2023, it was learned that Slater had signed a three year contract with TNA, which is expected to be up sometime in the fall of 2026. Don’t expect him to stick around in TNA upon the expiration of his deal. According to Dave Meltzer in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there is an expectation in TNA that Leon Slater will sign with either WWE or AEW upon the end of his contract later this year.

It was noted in the last year WWE were big fans of Leon Slater, leading to him being booked at the “John Cena’s last match” edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event.
