Leon Slater "Well Liked" Within WWE

Leon Slater is the current reigning TNA X-Division Champion after winning the gold back at the Slammiversary PPV in August by defeating Moose. The 21-year-old has received plenty of plaudits due to his talent and age, and has continued to climb as one of TNA’s top prospects. Slater has played a role in recent months in the NXT/TNA crossover, competing multiple times on NXT programming including a successful defense on his title. 

When it comes to Leon Slater’s future, it was revealed a little while ago that Slater had some time left on his TNA deal, which is expected to have around a year remaining. WWE may have some interest in procuring him though when the time comes. According to Fightful Select, it is said that Slater is “well liked” within WWE, with him reportedly making a good impression when visiting shows and working with NXT wrestlers. Thus far, Slater has competed against the likes of Je’Von Evans, Channing Lorenzo, The Culling, and more. 

Back at Slammiversary, WWE’s AJ Styles made a surprise appearance to endorse Slater after his X-Division Championship win.
