Jake Doyle is set for a stint on the sidelines after sustaining a torn biceps on Wednesday night's episode of AEW Dynamite.

Doyle - FKA Jake Something - teamed with Mark Davis to challenge FTR for the AEW World Tag Team Titles on Dynamite. Doyle received an apron DDT from Cash Wheeler during the match, and Doyle could be heard telling Wheeler following the move that he had suffered a torn biceps. Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer has since confirmed that Doyle legitimately tore his biceps on Dynamite.

The injury took Doyle out of the match, yet Mark Davis had the match won until the Death Riders interfered to cost the Don Callis Family the contest. The interference allowed FTR to hit Shatter Machine for the win.

Jake Doyle only made his full-time AEW debut on January 7, just days after his contract with TNA Wrestling expired. Doyle was quickly established as the new tag team partner of Mark Davis and they won a four-way at Maximum Carnage to become the number one contenders for the AEW World Tag Team Championships.
