Just days on from his WWE exit, Tommaso Ciampa is officially All Elite, having signed with AEW.
Following Mark Briscoe's successful TNT Title defence against El Clon on Wednesday night's AEW Dynamite, Briscoe issued an open challenge for Saturday's Collision. This prompted the lights to go out in the arena and 'Psycho Killer' flashed across the video screen, with Tommaso Ciampa emerging moments later to make his AEW debut.
Ciampa then made his way to the ring and kissed Briscoe on the cheek, with the TNT Title match on Collision and Ciampa's signing being made official soon after.
Ciampa's AEW debut took place one week on from the 40-year-old announcing he would leave WWE when his contract expires. Ciampa's second WWE run lasted 11 years, with Ciampa spending much of his time in NXT where he became a two-time NXT Champion and one-time NXT Tag Team Champion with Johnny Gargano. Ciampa moved to the main roster in 2022 and became a two-time WWE Tag Team Champion with Gargano.
Prior to his second WWE run, Ciampa performed for Ring of Honor and he is a former ROH World Television Champion.
