Former AEW star Jake Hager has lost an indy booking after a series of posts on X about abortion rights, and after labelling former boss Tony Khan a ‘communist’.

Hager’s posts came during the US presidential election, with Republican Donald Trump defeating Democrat Kamala Harris to win a second non-consecutive term in the White House. Hager’s conduct and terminology upset many, with his anti-abortion stance in particular causing offence.

“Yes i am support Trump. Yes im against killing babies. I guess that makes me a racist [sic]” was one such post, with Hager then pivoting in an attack on AEW President Tony Khan:

“Do u want proof @tonykhan is a communist and threatened me to be silent or else?” posted Hager.

The former WWE World Heavyweight Champion has since lost a booking with Blitzkrieg! Pro, who posted the following on X:

“Jake Hagar will no longer be appearing on December 14th in Enfield, CT. On top of sponsors no longer being willing to work with him, we also just have to do what we think is right for our roster and fans. We’re going to get to work on a replacement asap, however, a few people that are signed to appear: @theakiraway/@MarcusMathers1/@CharlieTiger_/@cpawrestles/@TJCWrestling/@PerryVonVicious”

AEW star Kamille has also expressed anti-abortion sentiments on social media, with the topic a major political football during the election. Hager has since deleted the posts, but has reposted one supporter lambasting Blitzkrieg! Pro for their decision.
