Donald Trump has been elected as the 47th President of the United States, with the Associated Press calling Wisconsin for Trump at 5:37 am ET on Wednesday which tipped him across the 270 electoral college votes needed to win the presidency.

Trump becomes the first president to return to power since Grover Cleveland in 1892. The WWE Hall of Famer is also the first convicted felon to be elected president and the oldest person ever to win the office.

Donald Trump defeated Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party nominee. Trump will return to the White House in January after flipping Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Georgia, states that voted for Joe Biden in 2020. Trump is also projected to be the first Republican to win the popular vote since George W. Bush in 2004.

Alongside the likes of Elon Musk, pro wrestling was utilised during Trump's campaign for the presidency as Hulk Hogan appeared at multiple rallies, including endorsing Trump at July's Republican National Convention. Trump also appeared on The Undertaker's Six Feet Under Podcast, while The Undertaker and Kane appeared alongside Trump in a TikTok video where they took shots at Batista.

As recently as Monday, the Battle of the Billionaires from WWE WrestleMania 23 was broadcast to people in attendance at Trump's rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
