Jake Roberts Unsure Why Lance Archer Isn't A Bigger Star In AEW

Jake 'The Snake' Roberts says Lance Archer "has everything," and can't figure out why he's seldom used by AEW.

Speaking to Good Karma Wrestling (@GKW_Wrestling on Twitter), Jake 'The Snake' Roberts has admitted that he's uncertain why Lance Archer isn't a bigger star in AEW. The WWE Hall of Famer stated:

“I don’t know, they just don’t like the flavour I guess. It’s a shame because Lance has everything. I’ve helped him work on his promos he’s raised those up. I don’t know what else he needs to do but I can’t figure it out."

Archer seemed to be featured far more prominently in the early days of his AEW run, clashing with the likes of Cody Rhodes and Jon Moxley in well-received bouts. In February 2022 he had a critically-acclaimed Texas Deathmatch with 'Hangman' Adam Page, but has seldom been used in an elevated position by the promotion since.

He still wrestles for AEW, but takes bookings in a variety of other promotions currently too. At the time of recording, Archer's last AEW match was a countout loss to Orange Cassidy for the International Championship on July 15.

H/T to Fightful.
