Janel Grant Not Interviewed For Vince McMahon Netflix Docuseries

No Janel Grant interview in 'Mr. McMahon'

A key figure behind Vince McMahon's pro wrestling career ending in disgrace was not interviewed for the upcoming Mr. McMahon docuseries.

It was announced this week the six-part Mr. McMahon docuseries will be released on September 25 on Netflix and the series will chronicle the rise and fall of Vince McMahon. Family members, iconic names in wrestling history, journalists, and business associates of McMahon have all been interviewed for the show along with Vince McMahon himself.

A spokesperson for Janel Grant, however, confirmed to POST Wrestling and Wrestlenomics that neither Grant nor her representatives have been interviewed for Mr. McMahon. Janel Grant filed a lawsuit against Vince McMahon, WWE, and John Laurinaitis earlier this year accusing McMahon of sex trafficking, sexual assault, and physical and emotional abuse. The lawsuit led to Vince McMahon's resignation as TKO Executive Chairman and he has been persona non grata in WWE ever since.

Janel Grant's lawsuit is currently on pause while attorneys for the Southern District of New York investigate allegations of sex trafficking and sexual misconduct against McMahon dating back to 1986. The lawsuit was paused upon the request of the United States Department of Justice.

Mr. McMahon is directed by Chris Smith and executive produced by Bill Simmons. Smith has claimed the documentary's purpose is to "peel back the curtain" and reveal the true Vince McMahon.
