Jason Jordan Set To Be At Next Week's WWE Raw

But will it be in an onscreen or backstage capacity?

Jason Jordan could be close to a return from injury, after being scheduled to be at next week's Raw in Richmond, Virginia - according to PWInsider. Whether this means appearing in an onscreen capacity - or merely being present at the show backstage - is unclear.

However, just being at the show is a step in the right direction for Jordan, who underwent 'minimally invasive' neck surgery earlier this year.

The injury's untimely nature unfortunately meant that Jordan was forced to miss WrestleMania 34, amidst rumours of an impending heel turn and feud with kayfabe father Kurt Angle.

Instead, Seth Rollins - with whom Jordan was teaming at the time - was shifted into the Intercontinental Championship scene, winning the title at WrestleMania in a triple threat match with Finn Balor and The Miz.

Should Jordan return soon, he could potentially challenge for Rollins' Intercontinental Championship, given Seth's recent open challenge run with the title. Additionally, he could wind up feuding with Chad Gable, now a babyface again on Raw. Gable has recently featured in several backstage segments with Angle, potentially sowing the seeds for a rivalry with Jordan.

Jordan signed a developmental contract with WWE in 2011, and spent a short while in FCW until it was replaced by NXT.

In NXT, Jordan teamed with Gable, winning the Tag Team Championship at NXT TakeOver: Dallas.

He was called up to the main roster alongside Gable during the 2016 brand split draft, competing on SmackDown (and winning another set of tag team titles) before moving to Raw in July 2017 as part of the Kurt Angle storyline.
