Jaxson Ryker Returns To WWE TV

The controversial Superstar is back...

Jaxson Ryker's WWE hiatus came to an end after six months last night and the former Forgotten Son returned to TV alongside Elias on Main Event.

Ryker's return came only days after Steve Cutler and Wesley Blake returned to Friday Night SmackDown and aligned themselves with King Corbin.

Fightful Select reported the former Gunner appeared on Main Event for a "dry run" to see if his partnership with Elias worked.

WWE also likely used the segment to gauge the reception to Ryker. Fightful was previously told by a source within the company that the Superstar "wasn't worth the risk of bad publicity of being on TV."

Many people were reportedly surprised to see Ryker at the Amway Center for the tapings, especially as the company had no plans for him as recently as four weeks ago.

Ryker hadn't appeared on WWE TV since he posted a pro-Trump tweet during the George Floyd protests. The post garnered him major heat with the WWE locker room and The Forgotten Sons were subsequently pulled from TV. The faction was scheduled to win the SmackDown Tag Team Championship before Ryker's tweet.
