Jay Lethal Debuts At AEW Full Gear, Says He's "All Elite"

A new acquisition for AEW

Former two-time Ring of Honor champion Jay Lethal made a surprise debut at AEW Full Gear on Saturday night in Minneapolis, appearing as a guest of Tony Schiavone's on the stage before the main event.

Lethal announced in the interview that he is "All Elite", and in his first act on the roster, issued a challenge to TNT champion Sammy Guevara for the belt this Wednesday on Dynamite. Guevara (who had just finished participating in the Minneapolis Street Fight with his Inner Circle teammates) squared off with Lethal on the stage, and told him he was on.

Lethal last wrestled for Ring of Honor on October 23, defeating Homicide. Like the rest of ROH's roster, Lethal is subject to a contract release at the end of 2021, as part of the company's forthcoming hiatus and restructuring.

In Ring of Honor, Lethal held the ROH World title on two occasions, the TV title twice, the Pure title once, and the Tag titles with Jonathan Gresham. Lethal also held the TNA X Division title six times, and their Tag Titles once with Consequences Creed (Xavier Woods).
