One month after he said he was done with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, Jay White returned to the promotion at today's Road To The New Beginning show at Korakuen Hall.

Following a six-man tag team match between Chaos and Bullet Club, White attacked the man who pinned him at New Year Dash, Tomohiro Ishii. He then beat down The Stone Pitbull and left him lying with a Bladerunner while EVIL and Yujiro Takahashi made quick work of Kazuchika Okada and Toru Yano on the outside.

White's return ultimately puts the speculation around his New Japan future to bed. Reports following Wrestle Kingdom 15 noted WWE had made a "major play" to sign the former IWGP Heavyweight Champion and he was subsequently removed from the NJPW roster page, upcoming advertisements at Korakuen Hall and the New Japan mobile trading card game. A report from Dave Meltzer did note, however, that White told AEW officials he was under contract with NJPW until 2025 which initially made the situation even more unclear.
