Jay White Vs. Christopher Daniels & More Set For NJPW Nemesis Tapings

Their first match since 2016

Who Christopher Daniels will face in his New Japan Pro-Wrestling return match has been revealed.

The Fallen Angel hasn't stepped inside a NJPW ring since late 2018 but it was announced earlier this week that Daniels would return to the promotion at the NJPW Strong 'Nemesis' tapings on Thursday, December 9 from the Vermont Hollywood in Los Angeles, California.

Now, New Japan have announced Daniels will go one-on-one with Jay White at the show.

The match was made official after White lost the NEVER Openweight Title to Tomohiro Ishii at Battle In The Valley on November 13. Switchblade immediately moved on from the loss following the match and called out Daniels during a monologue about wanting to face outside competition.

Daniels and White have faced each other in singles action before, with White having won their match in Ring Of Honor back in September 2016.

Also set for Nemesis is JONAH vs. David Finlay. The former Bronson Reed made his NJPW debut at Battle In The Valley and he attacked FinJuice, meaning Finlay will be out for revenge. Ariya Daivari will also go one-on-one with Alex Zayne on December 9.

Check out the card for Nemesis below:

  • Jay White vs. Christopher Daniels
  • JONAH vs. David Finlay
  • Alex Zayne vs. Ariya Daivari
