In a recent appearance on Huge Pop, WWE Hall of Famer JBL revealed that he doesn't want his 2022-23 run with Baron Corbin to be his last memory in wrestling. Stressing that Corbin wasn't to blame, JBL explained:
"You mentioned Baron Corbin and I feel bad because if you're going to blame somebody, blame me. I'm the old guy. I don't want that to be my last memory from wrestling. If my last memory was Rey Mysterio and 23 seconds, that's how I wanted to go out. The Von Erichs were going into the Hall of Fame, it was in Texas. It was a perfect swan song. Then I came back and it didn't work. I don't want that to be the last. I don't know what I'm going to do. I have some ideas, but hopefully that won't be the swansong."
JBL has recently made surprise appearances in various North American promotions, including TNA, AAA, GCW and MLW. A common theme appears to be JBL giving advice or help to certain wrestlers including current TNA World Champion Nic Nemeth and Brock Anderson. It's currently unknown whether a larger plan is at play, or what such a storyline would entail. JBL is still currently under a WWE Legends deal.
