JBL, Elias Return On WWE Raw

JBL and Elias back on WWE Raw

A WWE Hall of Famer and popular talent returned on the October 17 edition of Monday Night Raw.

Following a tease in early September, John Bradshaw Layfield resurfaced on WWE TV this week as The Wrestling God revealed that Rey Mysterio's move to SmackDown had allowed the newly renamed-Baron Corbin to be traded to the red brand. JBL then introduced his new client and proclaimed the greatness of the former United States Champion, declaring him the modern-day Wrestling God.

Corbin was then in action on Raw, defeating Dolph Ziggler after 13 minutes with the End of Days.

Elias' return took place just before the main event of Monday Night Raw as he was set to serenade the fans in attendance with a keyboard anthem. The Drifter was interrupted by a bongo-carrying Matt Riddle, though, and they proceeded to have a jam session inside the squared circle before Seth Rollins made his own interruption.

Rollins and Riddle then faced off in their scheduled main event match for the United States Championship. Elias remained at ringside and he ended up costing Riddle the win as he made the idiotic decision to enter the ring as Riddle went for an RKO. The distraction allowed Rollins to counter and push Riddle into Elias and The Visionary followed up with a Stomp for the win.

Rollins then took out Elias with a Stomp after the match and he looked to deck Riddle before Mustafa Ali made the save.
