JBL Makes WWE Return On January 16 NXT
JBL appeared on NXT to give some advice
WWE Hall Of Famer and former WWE World Champion JBL is no stranger to appearing on NXT, previously appearing in recent years to announce participants in the NXT Iron Survivor matches for the Deadline event. He made a surprise cameo appearance on the developmental brand once again during last night’s episode of NXT.
NXT superstar Josh Briggs was backstage, and he was approached by none other than JBL, rather randomly. Briggs was watching his matches back, looking at ways to improve and get better. Being the always loving, always professional, and always kind-hearted veteran he is, JBL offered some advice to the younger name.
JBL asked Briggs why he thinks that he picked him to be in the Iron Survivor, with Briggs saying it was because he was a “good big man”. JBL revealed that it was because he wanted Briggs to discover who he is outside of his natural talent and ability. The Hall of Famer said that he showed the world that he was a “Wrestling God”, and now it is Briggs’ turn to show NXT who he is. It isn’t known whether this is the start of a partnership going forwards. JBL recently managed Baron Corbin in a short-lived alliance on Monday Night RAW, though it ended before it went anywhere.
