Jeff Cobb Reveals He Held Talks With WWE

He's since signed with an unrevealed promotion...

Back in January, Jeff Cobb's contract with Ring Of Honor expired and he officially became a free agent. The Hawaiian Hulk continued to wrestle in ROH and New Japan Pro-Wrestling on a show to show basis, and he even made two appearances on AEW: Dynamite as a hired mercenary for The Inner Circle.

Cody Rhodes has previously said he would love to sign Cobb to a long-term deal, but the former ROH Television Champion revealed during a recent interview with Fightful Select that he held talks with WWE and other companies which made him feel like "the belle of the ball."

Since his talks with WWE, Cobb has signed with an unrevealed promotion which may well be the wrestling behemoth.

He recently told Forbes: "I signed something a while ago, but I didn’t want to make the announcement. I was waiting for the company to do it. And it just so happens this pandemic broke out, and they have bigger things on their plate. So I'm going to let the company - whichever company that is - I'll let them announce it. I want them to announce it, I want them to have all the glory. I'd rather have the spotlight on the company that I sign with."
