When Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff came into TNA Wrestling in 2010 they wasted no time in changing the company, much to the chagrin of fans and roster members alike.
The pair tried to kick off a second Monday Night War during their time in the company, and many agree that their meddling almost destroyed what TNA had built until that point. TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett thinks Hogan’s debut was disastrous, saying the following when talking about TNA Genesis 2010 during a recent episode of the My World podcast:
"I thought Hogan's debut couldn't have gone any worse," Jarrett said, adding how Ric Flair’s debut was equally underwhelming. "Ric's kind of casually showing up, just nothing really bit, nothing. Not memorable, not a moment where you go 'holy crap Ric Flair is in TNA.'"
Jarrett would further talk how TNA failed with creative, booking, and in-ring wrestling during the Hogan Bischoff era, with the era generally agreed to be the darkest period in TNA history. Hogan was intially set to join TNA in 2003 to work a programme with Jarrett, but it never came to be.
