Jeff Jarrett Reveals If TNA Held Talks With Goldberg

Did TNA make a serious play for Goldberg?

TNA co-founder Jeff Jarrett has confirmed that they once had conversations with Goldberg about joining the company.

Speaking during a recent edition of his My World podcast, Double-J was asked by host Conrad Thompson if he had considered bringing in the former WCW World Heavyweight Champion during TNA's early years.

Jarrett responded by saying:

"Not at this point. Dixie [Carter] had a lunch with him several years later that I think you could classify on Dixie's part for sure, substantially. I don't think on Bill's part".

Jarrett noted that pro-wrestling agent Barry Bloom has represented Goldberg for years.

"Bill made a lot of money in WCW and made a lot of money at WWE. Bill's a businessman first and foremost. I never viewed any of the conversations with Bill as substantial strictly off of there isn't enough money for Bill to come," Jeff added.

TNA/IMPACT would reportedly intermittently reach out to Goldberg about coming in, but it never happened. Goldberg returned to WWE at the 2016 Survivor Series and has wrestled on a special occasions basis since.
