Jerry Lawler Returning To WWE Raw Commentary

Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler returning to the WWE Raw Commentary team

A familiar voice is set to return to the Raw commentary booth, as WWE Hall of Famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler will temporarily replace Corey Graves in the chair.

Graves is set to go on honeymoon soon, with his marriage to former WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella set for April 7, whilst the announcement of Lawler’s temporary return was made on Raw Talk.

Lawler hasn’t commentated for WWE since April 2020, when ‘The King’ was replaced by Samoa Joe, whilst Graves has been an integral part of WWE’s main roster commentary teams since 2016, at one point providing colour commentary for both Raw and SmackDown at the same time.

Lawler has had several long-term stints across WWE’s commentary teams, working shows such as Superstars from 1992, before his most famous commentary stint as the colour commentator on Monday Night Raw from 1995 until 2001, and again from 1991 until 2015. Since then Lawler has commentated on SmackDown, and has been a feature on WWE pre-show PPV panels, as well as filling the occasional guest spot on commentary as and when.
