Jey Uso Wins Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

The big trophy is all his

The seventh total Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal was won by Jey Uso, on a special "WrestleMania" edition of WWE SmackDown.

The final four entrants in the battle royal were Uso, Shinsuke Nakamura, King Corbin, and Ricochet. Uso eliminated Ricochet with a superkick, while Nakamura kneed Corbin off the apron. Nakamura managed to stun Uso with a Kinshasa, but Uso reversed the attempted elimination, throwing Nakamura out to win.

The battle royal was Uso's second try at winning the Andre the Giant trophy. He previously competed in the battle royal on the WrestleMania 33 pre-show in 2017.

Previous winners of the match include Cesaro, Big Show, Baron Corbin, Mojo Rawley, Matt Hardy, and Braun Strowman. Each of those battle royals took place either at WrestleMania's main card, or on the Kickoff show. No battle royal was held in 2020.

As for Uso, the match marks his first victory in over five months. His last win was over Kevin Owens on the November 6 episode of SmackDown. Since then, he lost thirteen consecutive matches, whether on SmackDown or at a PPV.
