Jim Cornette Rejects Offer To Attend AEW Dynamite

No Jim Cornette at AEW Dynamite

As expected, Jim Cornette will not be making an appearance on tonight's edition of AEW Dynamite.

After Jeff Jarrett admitted he would love for Jim Cornette to be at the November 1 edition of Dynamite in some capacity, Jim Cornette responded to the invitation, tweeting

"I appreciate the invitation from @RealJeffJarrett to attend the @AEW TV taping in Louisville tomorrow--I tried hard to make it work, but I couldn't find another person in town going so we could split the 2 for 1 ticket offer. But maybe they can find another ratings ploy in time."

Tonight's Dynamite will emanate from the KFC YUM! Center in Louisville, Kentucky, which also happens to be Cornette's hometown. AEW have struggled to move tickets for the event and Paul Wight recently returned to Ohio Valley Wrestling on October 19 to offer fans in attendance a special QR code for two-for-one tickets to the AEW taping of Dynamite and Rampage.

As of WrestleTix's last count, 3,282 tickets had been distributed for tonight's AEW show. The KFC YUM! Center can hold up to 22,000 fans.

Jim Cornette, of course, has been highly critical of AEW since the promotion's founding in 2019.

Matches announced for Dynamite include Orange Cassidy vs. Claudio Castagnoli for the AEW International Championship and Hikaru Shida vs. Willow Nightingale for the AEW Women's World Title. Tony Khan will make an "important announcement" on Dynamite too.
