Jim Ross Calls Tony Khan The "Alpha Male" Of AEW
Tony Khan has been branded as an "alpha male" by Jim Ross
It isn’t often that comparisons have been made between Tony Khan and Vince McMahon, but over the last couple of days ‘Good Old JR’ Jim Ross has drawn up a comparison. When talking on the latest episode of his Grilling JR podcast, Ross noted how Tony Khan’s similarities to McMahon are down to the fact that they are both “alpha males”.
"I've been really enjoying 'Collision' here lately, that team who writes that are doing a real good job and I know it's spearheaded by Tony Khan, there's no doubt who's the alpha male in that company and that's a good thing .... that's how it was when I first went to WWE with Vince. He had his hand in everything, t-shirt designs, ticket prices, on sale dates, venues, everything, every single thing and because that's what he wanted and he liked to be deeply involved."
It is well known that Tony Khan is very hands-on with all aspects of AEW, though he did say in recent months that he would step aside from creative control when the time was right.
